The holidays are here, and as it is every year around this time, our calendar is dominated by Santa-related events.
Family event-wise, you can watch “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” for free at the Fayetteville Public Library Friday afternoon if you’re looking for something to do with the kids.
Later that evening, you could check out “The Polar Express” at Walton Arts Center (if you already have tickets, that is. This show is sold out).
Also in holiday shows, TheatreSquared’s holiday hit “Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley” is still playing at Nadine Baum Studios if you haven’t seen it yet (of if you feel like seeing it again).
Later on, Boom Kinetic! will be playing a Christmas show at George’s.

The Razorback basketball team is looking to get back on track on Saturday, when they take on Texas State at Bud Walton Arena. After the game, a screening of the holiday classic “Home Alone” is planned on the big screen at the arena.
In holiday show-news, you could check out local ladies from Melody Pond playing some holiday songs in an intimate atmosphere at Nines Alley on Saturday night. The starts at around 8 p.m.
There’s a big show at George’s Saturday night as well, with Ben Miller Band back in town to perform along with Sarah Slaton.
