Getting to the music city from Northwest Arkansas is about to get a little easier.

According to a post on the Northwest Arkansas Council’s website this week, discount carrier Allegiant Air will be adding a twice per week flight to and from Nashville, Tennessee from the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA) this summer.

“We’re very excited to announce a brand new route from Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant vice president of planning and revenue. “We’re sure area travelers will take advantage of our friendly, nonstop, ultra-low-cost service to enjoy all that Music City has to offer.”

The new seasonal flights will be available beginning in June, and will run through August.

Prices for the flights range from $49-$146 for a one-way ticket.

The airline also announced plans to increase their service to Las Vegas, Nevada, and to Destin, Florida over the summer, expanding from two to an average of three flights per week to and from Vegas over the summer, and increasing flights to Destin to 5-6 per week from mid-May until early August.
