Arkansas city in running for $500,000 prize, reality show feature

An Arkansas city is in the the running to win a $500,000 prize, and a chance to be featured on the Hulu series Small Business Revolution – Main Street.

Searcy, Arkansas is one of six finalists out of 12,000 cities that applied, and at last count, was in second place to Durant, Oklahoma in an online voting contest that ends at 10 p.m. tonight (Feb. 19).

The show features co-hosts Amanda Brinkman and Ty Pennington, who along with their team, distribute $500,000 for “small business makeovers” from Deluxe Corporation to help local places in the city.

Other finalists vying for the prize include Canon City, Colorado; Camus, Washington; Corsicana, Texas; and Washington, North Carolina.

The winner of the online vote will be announced at the end of February. Businesses from the winning city will then be allowed to apply to be featured on the show.

Filming is scheduled to take place from March through August, 2019 and there will be eight episodes in the season.
