The lineup of shows announced so far for this season at the Walmart AMP has been a little bit country, a little bit rock and roll.

Now at least one concert this summer will have a bit of both.

AMP officials last week announced that classic rockers and Rock & Roll Hall of Famers the Steve Miller Band will team up with classic country legend Marty Stuart for a show scheduled for Sunday, June 16 at the venue.

Neither of the artists need much of an introduction. Steve Miller Band has been performing together for the better part of five decades. The band is known for classic albums like Children of the Future, Sailor and Brave New World, containing songs like “The Joker,” “Fly Like an Eagle,” “Take the Money and Run,” and many others.

Marty Stuart has had a similarly successful career as a Grammy®-winning singer, songwriter and musician. He’s known for his classic songs, like “Kiss Me I’m Gone,” “You Can’t Stop Love,” “Hillbilly Rock,” and tons more, and he plays with an all-star band of virtuoso musicians in the Fabulous Superlatives.

Steve Miller Band was in town for a show at the AMP back in 2017, and Stuart opened for Jason Isbell last year.

Tickets to the show range from $35-$95.50 (plus fees). To purchase, visit the AMP or Walton Arts Center box office in person, call 479-443-5600, or visit amptickets.com.
