Some of the best athletes in the country will be in town this weekend competing in the SEC Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Randall Tyson Track Center. Here’s some more info about that.

Local DIY venue and gallery Lalaland is closing down, but not before one final two-day blowout at the space. Seven bands will be performing at the Friday night show, including Dylan Earl (solo) Untight (sam king solo), Sad Palomino, The Wirms, Peace of the Sea, The Chads, and Ten High.

Also in tunes, Maryland rockers Clutch are in town for a show at George’s, Warehouse Collective is at Mojo’s Pints & Pies, and local songwriter Willi Carlisle will perform a set at The Nines Alley.

The second night of the final Lalaland celebration is Saturday night, and there are 11 bands set to perform, including Musclegoose, Molasses Disaster, Dub Peveau, Ankle Pop, John Charles, Jess Harp, Witchsister, Bambi’s, Groaners, Pagiins, and The Phlegms.

Also in tunes, there’s a big show at Smoke & Barrel with a couple excellent local bands. Terminus and White Mansion will share the bill. It’s a $5 show.

Local Sublime tribute Lou Dog is at George’s Saturday night as well. Tickets are $12-$15.

There are a couple events at the Walton Arts Center as well. In Baum-Walker Hall, Michael Andrew will perform his show, “Sinatra and the American Songbook,” and the one-person comedy Dixie’s Tupperware Party is playing in Starr Theatre this weekend.

There’s a lot more below. Have a great weekend, everyone.
