When you hear the word “fundraiser”, what do you think of? Ill-fitting tuxedos, shopping for a gown, horribly uncomfortable shoes, all of the above?
Leave the tuxedos, gowns, and uncomfortable shoes at home and dress ready to play at the Scott Family Amazeum UnGala FUNdraiser presented by the Hershey Company, Saturday, April 27, from 7 to 10 pm.
Tickets are $100 and on sale now for the most unique fundraiser in Northwest Arkansas. The UnGala features outrageous activities and experiences unlike any other gala in the region.
The UnGala’s signature event is NWA’s only corporate challenge race featuring specially prepared 24-volt children’s ride-on toys. Corporate teams race for the coveted Zing Cup in races sponsored by McLarty Daniel Automotive Group. After the competition ends, UnGala attendees have the opportunity to get their hands on a race vehicle for some hot laps around the track.
And, that’s not all you can get your hands on at UnGala. One-night-only interactive experiences fill the museum inside and out, including the feature experience this year – a 26-foot long, hydraulic-activated, human-controlled hand and forearm sculpture created by artist Christian Ristow, which is capable of crushing, well, nearly anything. So make sure to observe the no parking zones.
The Amazeum UnGala FUNdraiser is more than just a great time for adults to give their inner child a night out to play. Proceeds support Amazeum diversity and inclusion initiatives and programs like Priceless Nights on Wednesday evenings from 4 to 7:30 pm, events like HallowZing for special needs children and their families, and community outreach programs that take Amazeum-style learning experiences to communities in Northwest Arkansas. Priceless Nights provide families the opportunity to pay-as-they-wish for admission to the museum.
