Three beer events scheduled on May 4 in NWA

Local beer drinkers have plenty of options for sampling a variety of brews this weekend.

Three events are planned on May 4 in Fayetteville and Rogers, including options for craft beer samples, live music and even coffee.

Here’s what we know:

Fayetteville Foam Fest

One of the largest, and first ever local beer festivals in Fayetteville is set to return for its eighth year.

The event begins at 5 p.m. on May 4 at the downtown Fayetteville Square, with at least 300 brews from over 50 local, regional, and national breweries. Attendees will receive a 5 oz. tasting glass, and access to booths featuring all the beers they care to drink.

General admission tickets are $40, and a portion of the proceeds benefit the Fayetteville Animal Shelter, The Ranger’s Pantry Pet Food Bank and Breakaway Cycling.

Arkansas Brewgrass Festival

This event, featuring craft beer and bluegrass music, is organized by the Arkansas Brewers Guild, and is back for its fourth year.

The fun starts at 1 p.m. on May 4 at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Fayetteville.

Live music will include performances by Sad Daddy, Okay Crawdad, and The Ozark Highballers. Attendees can expect bingo games, food trucks, local arts and crafts, and plenty of craft beer from around the state.

Tickets are $10 at the door.

Rituals

A new event from Onyx Coffee Labs and Ozark Beer Co. will showcase breweries and coffee roasters from around the country.

There are two sessions on May 4 at Venue 718 in downtown Rogers. Session 1 is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and session 2 is from 3-6 p.m.

Guests can expect to sample coffees prepared through various methods alongside several coffee-themed and small batch beers, many of which are not distributed in Arkansas.

Tickets are $65 (plus taxes and fees) and are available at Eventbrite.com. Full-sized glassware is included with each ticket purchased.
