Washington Elementary Tour of Homes set for May 18

The Washington Elementary PTO will host the 16th annual Tour of Homes on Saturday, May 18, featuring six homes in Fayetteville.

This year’s tour includes five homes located within Washington Elementary School’s school zone and Washington Elementary School itself.

The Tour of Homes is a fundraiser for the school, providing needed items not accounted for in the operating budget. Past events have helped fund an audio-visual system in the gym, a climbing wall, an update to the music room and a GaGa ball pit on the playground.

Proceeds also help support the school’s Children’s Fund, which provides families in financial need with help buying things like school clothes and shoes, hygiene products, school pictures, after-school program fees, summer camp fees, school supplies, or holiday gifts.

The self-guided tour begins at 12 p.m. at any of the featured homes.

Tickets are $20, and are available at the Washington Elementary School office, French Metro Antiques, The Gift House, or the Bank of Fayetteville on the downtown square. Tickets may also be purchased online on at Eventbrite.

Tickets can also be purchased the day of the event for $25 at any of the six participating homes.
