It’s a big weekend for baseball here in Fayetteville. The Diamond Hogs will host an NCAA tourney regional this weekend at Baum-Walker stadium for a chance to advance down the road to Omaha toward the College World Series. Arkansas takes on Central Connecticut St. at 1 p.m. to start the tourney. Go Hogs.

There are some big shows in town this weekend. Broadway hit Cats is playing at Walton Arts Center on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, as is TheatreSquared’s version of The Legend of Georgia McBride, that will conclude it’s run at Nadine Baum Studios this weekend.

There’s a comedy show at Nomad’s, featuring local comedian Troy Gittings, and 90s tribute band The Mixtapes is performing at George’s on Friday night.
