Clinton House Museum to celebrate history of Dickson Street July 9

A local celebration of the rich history of Fayetteville’s most well-known street is coming up next month.

The Clinton House Museum and Fayetteville Ale Trail will host their fourth History Happy Hour of the year from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, and this month’s event will be all about the history and tradition of Dickson Street.

The event will include photos, trivia, live music, and an exhibit of artifacts from the street brought to the event by attendees.

Organizers are asking for folks to bring their photos, t-shirts, CDs, albums, glasses, menus, and matchbooks from Dickson Street establishments, local bands that played the street, and other items of interest to the event.

Tickets to the event are $5 at the door, and come with a pint glass, two pours, non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, and music.

Parking is available in the museum driveway, and across the street.
