There’s a big expo celebrating the art of illustration and printmaking happening in town this weekend. It’s called Death Ray, and it kicks off on Friday night with a VIP party at Hilton Garden Inn. Here’s more info.

A new brewery is opening in town Friday. Boston Mountain Brewing is having a soft opening at 3 p.m. today. Here’s our story from a few months ago about the the new place.

Also Friday night, KUAF will host a fundraiser and celebration of their local music shows titled Summer Night Swing at Fayetteville Public Library. The event will include local beer and wine, and performances and interviews with Buddy Shute and The Motivators and Jesse Dean.

Walton Arts Center’s Artosphere Festival is wrapping up soon, but there are a few more events still to check out. This year’s festival has a moon theme in honor of the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, and Friday night, they’ll screen the film Apollo 13 at the venue. Here’s more.

Music-wise, local rock band The Good Fear (full disclosure, Flyer co-founders Todd Gill and Dustin Bartholomew play in the band) will celebrate the release of their new album Long Gone Brand New Friday night at Smoke & Barrel Tavern. Vinyl copies of the record will be available for $10 at the show.

Also in tunes, there’s a tribute to legendary Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham at George’s, and West & Watson has a three band bill with Jipsi, Makin’ Loaf, and Serpents of Eden.
