Giveaway: The Royal Affair Tour featuring Yes, Asia, and more, July 21 at the Walmart AMP

Prog rock pioneers Yes will bring their Royal Affair Tour to Northwest Arkansas in a few weeks, along with Asia, John Lodge of the Moody Blues and Carl Palmer’s ELP Legacy.

Even better news? We’ve got a pair of tickets to give away to the show.

The current incarnation of Yes features Steve Howe (guitar, joined in 1970), Alan White (drums since 1972), Geoff Downes (keyboards, joined in 1980), Jon Davison (vocals since 2011) and Billy Sherwood (guitar and keyboards in the 1990s and the late Chris Squire’s choice to take over bass/vocals in 2015), with Jay Schellen on additional drums.

Asia is expected to play their signature songs and pay tribute to their late founding member John Wetton. Billy Sherwood has fronted the band since Wetton’s death in 2017. The current lineup also features former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” who recently replaced Sam Coulson. Founding member Steve Howe left Asia in 2013, but will play with the group some on this summer’s tour. Geoff Downes is also in both Yes and Asia.

John Lodge’s set is heavy on his classic hits from his time in The Moody Blues like “I’m Just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band)” and “Ride My See-Saw.”

Carl Palmer will honor the memory of his fellow Emerson, Lake and Palmer members Keith Emerson and Greg Lake, with vocals by guest British vocalist Arthur Brown.

AMP officials said as part of the evening’s British theme, guests can expect a tribute to John Lennon by Alan White of Yes. White was the drummer on Lennon’s solo material including the recording of “Imagine.”

Tickets to the show range from $30-$99.50 plus fees, and can be purchased at www.amptickets.com or by calling 479-443-5600. In-person purchases can be made at the Walton Arts Center box office in Fayetteville.

It might be easier to just win yourself a pair of tickets in our give away. Good luck.
