Summer is winding down, the students are headed back to town, and we all know what that means. It’s almost time for another season of shows at the Walton Arts Center.
The organization this week announced that single tickets for more than 60 shows in the upcoming 2019-20 season will go on sale officially at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 9.
As always, the WAC season this year includes some blockbuster musicals, including Escape to Margaritaville, The Play That Goes Wrong, Once on This Island, Anastasia, Fiddler on the Roof, and The Band’s Visit.
Other headliners of the upcoming season include performances by The Blue Man Group (Sept. 10), The Peking Acrobts (Feb. 25, 2020), Lyle Lovett (Oct. 4), Amy Rey (Jan 19, 2020), Robert Earl Keen (Dec. 17), Arlo Guthrie (March 20, 2020), David Sedaris (Nov. 3), Randy Rainbow (Dec. 6), and tons more.
In addition to the single-tickets, patrons can also choose from shows on any series except for Starrlight Jazz and West Street Live to curate their own three-, five-, or seven-show “Create-Your-Own Subscription” package. Three-show packages get $2 off each ticket, five-show packages get $3 off, and seven-show packages get $5 off each ticket.
