The Fayetteville Roots Festival events scheduled for Thursday evening at Pratt Place have been moved to the Fayetteville Town Center on the downtown square, officials announced.

Weather conditions, including a chance of thunderstorms, is what promoted the venue change.

“Fayetteville Roots Festival takes the safety of the community very seriously,” representatives wrote in a statement. “While they would have loved to be outdoors tonight, the festival community will be together under cover and enjoy amazing music and food.”
