Third annual Startup Crawl set for Sept. 13 in downtown Fayetteville

If you’re looking to drink some local beer, listen to some live music, and check out some new enterprising businesses in Fayetteville, you’ll get a chance to do all of the above next month.

The third annual Startup Crawl, organized by local consulting foundation Startup Junkie, combining beer, music, and local upstart companies is set for Friday, Sept. 13 at various locations around Fayetteville.

Founders and employees of local startups will be on hand to talk about their work, their plans, and the entrepreneurial community, and each company has been paired with a local brewery to offer beverages inside their space.

The event will be held from 6-10 p.m. that evening beginning at the Pryor Center on the Fayetteville square. There, attendees can pick up their passports and souvenir beer glasses, and begin visiting the local businesses participating in the crawl.

Featured businesses range from tech companies Zenworks and Metova, to local private-suite karaoke bar Big Box Karaoke, and Likewise, a new co-working space set to open in September at 70 N College Ave, just off the square.

There will be live music at various stops throughout the night, by Faye Moffett, Melody Pond, Arika Lewis, Josh Noren, and Dial Up.

General admission is free. Souvenir beer cups with unlimited refills are $15 each, and can be purchased through the day of the event on Eventbrite.
