There’s a whole festival dedicated to one of the most delicious culinary concoctions the world has ever known happening in Fayetteville this weekend.

Of course, we’re talking about the 8th annual Pesto Fest, set for 4-10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7 at Tri Cycle Farms.

The event, which serves as the largest fundraiser of the year for the local non-profit farm, will feature a pesto making competition judged by local celebrity chefs, live music, kids activities, and more.

The music lineup this year includes Tater, Mater & Squarsh, Opal Agafia, Jamie Lou & The Hullabaloo, and Ashtyn Barbaree and the Barbarians.

Kids activities include an appearance by the Greedy Goats of NWA, and performances by Island Pacific Dancers of Northwest Arkansas and Puppets in the Park.

There will be food from Ozark Natural Foods, Lucky Luke’s BBQ and Rockin’ Baker, and local beer and cider will also be served.

Advance tickets are $30, and proceeds benefit the farm. For more information, tickets, or to register for the event, visit tricyclefarms.org.
