‘Gospel on the Green’ event set for Sept. 29 at Gulley Park

A one-day celebration of gospel music will take place in Fayetteville on Sunday.

Local musician Anthony Ball is organizing the first ever Gospel on the Green event on Sunday, Sept. 29 at Gulley Park.

The event was coincide with Gospel Music Heritage Month, created by the US congress in 2008.

The event will include music by Ozark Revival, Disciples lead by Reginald James, and the Northwest Arkansas Unity Community Choir. This choir is made up of singers from University of Arkansas Inspirational Chorale, Christian Life Cathedral Fayetteville, The Historic St. James Missionary Baptist Church, and The Pentecostals of Northwest Arkansas.

The event begins at 5 p.m. It is free to attend and open to the public.
