Walton Arts Center officials this week announced that prog-rock band Kansas will perform in Fayetteville on May 29, 2020.
The tour is a celebration of the 40th anniversary of Kansas’ hit album “Point of Know Return” which the band will perform in its entirety during the concert.
The album’s hit single “Dust in the Wind” peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 in April 1978. The album itself peaked at No. 4 on Billboard’s album charts and reached sextuple-platinum status with more than six million copies sold.
The Fayetteville stop is on the last leg of the band’s tour, which began last September.
Tickets go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27 and range from $55.50 to $149.50 plus fees. Patrons can also purchase reserved parking in the Spring Street parking deck for $7.
