Weekend Flyer: Bikes, Blues & BBQ edition

You hear that rumble? It’s not your stomach. It’s Bikes, Blues & BBQ weekend.

The event officially kicked off on Wednesday, and runs through late Saturday night in and around Fayetteville.

Dickson Street is the center of the rally, where the he main stage is located in the West Avenue Lot next to the WAC. Friday night main stage acts include Fayetteville Funk Factory, Freddy Mercury Tribute Band, Dead Metal Society, and others.

George’s also has Bikes, Blues & BBQ-related events, with The Juice, Mountain Sprout, and The Mixtapes on the garden stage, and Tyler Kinchen, Goose, and others on the lounge stage.

In non-Bikes, Blues & BBQ news, there’s a climate strike event on the Fayetteville square from noon until 4 p.m. on Friday. The event will include live music by Arkansauce, Dandelion Heart, Handmade Moments, speakers, and a parade. Here’s more info.

The Farmers’ Market is winding down their season on the square soon. Better get down there and enjoy it while you can.

Bikes, Blues & BBQ continues on Saturday. The Battle of the Bikes is on the main stage at 8 a.m. The annual parade of power will be taking place at 3 p.m., making its way from the fairgrounds to Dickson Street. Main stage music headliners on Saturday include Prince Tribute Band, Goose, The Mixtapes, and others. Here’s the full schedule.

George’s has music again as well, with headliners including Arkansauce, Lou Dog (Sublime tribute), and several others.

In non-BBB news, remember Spoken? They’re back in town for a show at Nomad’s on Saturday night with The Radio Sky, Leona, and Agony Inc.

There’s also a show at American Legion with Jackson Jennings 5, Jamblze Illyth, and Orange Steve.
