Fall is here, temperatures are finally starting to cool, and pumpkin-spice-pretty-much-everything is already popping up on menus around the region.

Halloween candy and costumes are out in department stores. Football season is in full swing. The last few days, we’ve even noticed a few of the leaves have begun to change from green to varying colors of fall.

You know what that means right? It’s decorative gourd season, y’all.

Now, there are various ways to acquire said decorative gourds. You could pick one up at the grocery store. If you planned ahead, maybe you could grow one yourself.

But for those who like a little more fanfare for your fall pumpkin picking experience, well, there are plenty of options for that as well.

Below are eight local pumpkin patches we know of around Northwest Arkansas that will be open this season, several of them complete with hay rides, corn mazes, pony rides, petting zoo’s, and other autumn fun.

Feel free to let us know about any new spots that we may have missed in the comments below.

Happy pumpkin’ picking, everyone.
