Photos: 2019 FayetteCross cyclocross races in Fayetteville
The 2019 FayetteCross cyclocross races came to a wet and muddy end Sunday afternoon atop Millsap Mountain in Fayetteville.
The weather was warm and sunny on Saturday, but nearly 10 inches of rainfall led to wildly contrasting course conditions on Sunday as the track turned from dry, dusty grass to soggy, slippery mud.
By the time the amateur events had concluded on day 2, spectators were treated to an exciting race that featured almost as much running as it did riding.
Maghalie Rochette finished first in the pro women’s field on Saturday, while Kerry Werner took the win in the men’s race. On Sunday, Clara Honsinger took the top step as did Curtis White.
Below are some images from both days of racing.

Day 2 – Sunday, Oct. 6
