It’s time for the annual tree giveaway in downtown Fayetteville.
Free trees and shrubs will be available for Fayetteville residents on Saturday, Oct. 26 at the 21st annual Celebration of Trees event on the Arvest Bank plaza across from the north side of the downtown square.
The event begins at 7 a.m. when Mayor Lioneld Jordan, along with staff from the Fayetteville Parks and Recreation Department and members of the Urban Forestry Advisory Board, will hand out up to two plants per resident.
Trees and shrubs are available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a limit of two plants per adult Fayetteville resident that is present at the event.
