The Lib Horn Animal Shelter in Fayetteville will offer free dog adoptions on Friday, Oct. 11 and Saturday, Oct. 12 as part of national Adopt a Shelter Dog Month.

Dogs will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Shelter staff recommends that adopters get there early and encourage people to fill out their adoption applications in advance, so the staff has time to get the application approved before the event. Applications are available at the shelter or on the city’s website at www.fayetteville-ar.gov/adoptapet.

All available dogs will be spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, prior to going to their new home. Adopters can view available pets online, but should check with the shelter to make sure the animals are still available.

The shelter is located at 1640 S. Armstrong Ave. and is open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
