There’s a two day celebration of DIY music at Fayetteville’s favorite DIY venue this weekend. The fourth annual Mid South DIY Fest is taking place on Friday and Saturday this weekend at Backspace. Friday’s lineup includes 10 bands for just $10 from 5 p.m. until around midnight. Here’s more.
Also in tunes, local party band Ultra Suede is playing happy hour at George’s on Friday night. That starts at 5 p.m.
There’s a big country show at the Walmart AMP up in Rogers on Friday night with Zac Brown Band and Lukas Nelson & The Promise of the Real.
If you like Jimmy Buffet, you’ll probably like the show playing at Walton Arts Center this weekend. Escape to Margaritaville, the show based on Buffet’s music, is running through Sunday. Here’s ticket info.

Fayetteville Public Library’s True Lit Festival is continuing this weekend, and there are a several events associated with the festival happening on Saturday. Some of the highlights include a performance of The Wizard of Oz by Bright Star Theatre at 10:30 a.m. in the children’s area, and the Dan and Claudia Zanes Family Music Workshop presented by Walton Arts Center at 2 p.m. in the story time room. at 2 p.m. Here’s the full schedule.

Smoke & Barrel Tavern has a free show on Saturday night with Dallas-based rock band Feeves and psychedelic electronic “dream rock” outfit, Kadela.
