Roots musician Martha Redbone is in Fayetteville for a series of shows, workshops, and other appearances, including one that will take place at the Jim & Joyce Faulkner Performing Arts Center Concert Hall on Friday night. Redbone appeared at the Fayetteville Public Library on Thursday night, and is conducting workshops at the UA on Friday morning. In addition to her performance at the Faulkner Center on Friday night, she will also play the Walton Arts Center on Saturday night. Here’s ticket info to her Friday performance.
Longtime local songwriter Candy Lee recently recorded a new album, and she’ll celebrate the release with a performance on Friday night at the Guisinger Music House. Her new album, titled Ozark Mama, is a solo acoustic album of love songs to her husband and son. Locals Dandelion Heart will also perform.
There’s a big show at the Walton Arts Center on Friday night. It’s called The Play that Goes Wrong, and we’ve heard it’s hilarious. Reviewer Kevin Kinder called it “one of funniest, most riotous shows that’s ever been on the Walton Arts Center stage.”
Local theatre troupe the Smokehouse Players will perform the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Night, Mother this weekend at Ozark Mountain Smokehouse. Here’s more about that.
Nomads has an installment of their Southtown Comedy Night with comedians Garrett Smalley, Thom Gray, and Katie Still.
Also in music, Judason Void, Groaners, and Sad Palomino are at Backspace, Read Southall is at George’s, and Prismatics are in town for a show at Smoke & Barrel Tavern.

The last outdoor Fayetteville Farmers’ Market of the year is happening on Saturday morning. Better get out there an enjoy it while you can.
The Razorback football team is off this week, but the basketball team will be in action when they take on Montana at 4 p.m. at Bud Walton Arena. The Hoop Hogs are currently 2-0 under new head coach Eric Musselman.
There’s a Brewmaster’s Dinner at Mount Sequoyah on Saturday night featuring brews from New Provence Brewing. Here’s more about that.
Music-wise, the Martha Redbone performance we mentioned above is happening at Walton Arts Center.
Local legends the Cate Brothers and the Nace Brothers will be performing together at George’s Saturday night. It’s an early show beginning at 7 p.m.
Also in tunes, David Wax Museum and Kalyn Fay will perform at The Guisinger Music House.
