It’s that time of year, Nog fans.

It’s time to cleanse your palette with a crisp lager or a bright bubbly, taste some creative egg nogs, rate your favorite, and crown the champion Egg Nog maker in Fayetteville.

Of course, we’re taking about the Nog Off, set for 6 p.m. this Wednesday, Dec. 18 at the festive new pop-up bar, Holidaze just off the square.

This year’s competition will feature creations by mixologists from Maxine’s Tap Room, Vault, Pinpoint, Axis Lounge, Vetro 1925, and Local Lime Rogers.

A flight of six nogs is $12 at the bar, and a portion of the proceeds from each flight will go to Magdalene Serenity House, a local organization that helps to “rebuild the lives of women who have experienced trauma, addiction, and incarceration.”

The bartender with the best nog as voted by attendees will also receive a prize.
