Everyone has their holiday traditions. For local legends the Cate Brothers, it’s playing a holiday show at George’s and bringing people out of the woodwork to dance off some holiday dessert at happy hour. That’s happening this Friday night, with Eric Matthews Band also on the bill. Later that evening, some locals including singer Randall Shreve will perform a Freddie Mercury Tribute.

If you haven’t seen TheatreSquared’s version of A Christmas Carol, you’d better get down there and check it out. It is wrapping up its run soon.

In comedy, your best bet is Southtown Comedy Night at Nomads. Friday night will feature a homecoming show with Paul Naegle.

George’s Majestic Lounge has another big show on Saturday night with bluegrassers, Big Smith and Mighty Pines.

There’s also an Americana-flavored show at Smoke & Barrel Tavern Saturday night with locals, Sad Daddy.

Also in tunes, up-and-coming local band, The Day After Sunday is performing at Mojo’s.Check them out here.

How about a drag show? The Jingle Drag Masquerade Ball is happening Saturday night at Nomads.
