One of the larger indie shows coming up in Fayetteville next month will take place at one of its smallest venues.

Guitarist Julian Lynch, guitarist for the band Real Estate, will bring his solo tour to Fayetteville for a show at DIY venue, Backspace, on Friday, Feb. 7.

Lynch will be in Fayetteville to promote his solo record, Rat’s Spit. The album, described as “psychedelia meets electronic experimentation meets indie rock” came out in January of last year, and received some favorable reviews (here’s one from Pitchfork.)

From the review:

Lynch has returned at last to records of his own with his first album in six years, Rat’s Spit. Much like the pop of Brian Eno, Lynch delicately blends buzzing electric guitar with a newfound lucidity, his looped acoustics and muffled drums underscoring his soft voice.

Little Rock psychedelic surf rock / dream pop band Way Away and Fayetteville act neon glittery will also perform.

Doors open at 8:30 p.m., and music starts around 9 p.m. As usual, tickets to the show are just $5 at the door, though it might be a good idea to get there early this time.
