A new show based on the life of boxer Jack Johnson is playing at TheatreSquared. It’s called The Royale, and unfolds in a boxing ring over six rounds. There are several chances to see it this weekend. Here’s ticket info.

How about some jokes? There’s a comedy show at Nomad’s featuring Carter The Power on Saturday night. Starts at around 8:30 p.m.

West and Watson has been having some DJ shows lately on Friday nights, and this week they’ll host a Bass Vibes show featuring Dondo.

Also in tunes, local fun band Goose will play at George’s, and bluesy-country-rockers Mudhawk are at Smoke & Barrel.

The Razorback basketball team will try to get back on track after two straight losses when they take on TCU at Bud Walton on Saturday afternoon. The game is part of the SEC-Big 12 challenge. Tipoff is at 3 p.m.

Monthly variety show Last Saturday will return to American Legion on Saturday with performances by Dandelion Heart, Brady C, Birthday Boyz, and Less.Is.More.

There’s a big sold out show at George’s on Saturday night. It’s the Subtronics Cyclops Invasion Tour featuring He$h, Chee, Bommer and Level Up. Hope you already got tickets, or are friends with the band.

There’s a rock show at Smoke & Barrel Tavern with Gardensnakes and Witchsister on Saturday night. Their latest album made the best of the year list by our contributor, George Kuharic.
