Who needs a happy hour? George’s has you covered. This week, locals Honeyjack and Flashback will be providing the soundtrack to the weekend kickoff. Later on, there’s a Grateful Dead tribute called Grateful Talking Deadheads scheduled to perform made up of an all-star lineup of local musicians.

The Razorback gymnastics team is back in action with a meet against SEC foe the Georgia Bulldogs on Friday night. The meet starts at 7 p.m.

Real Estate guitarist Julian Lynch is in town for a solo show at Backspace on Friday night. Also on the bill are locals Neon Glittery and Way Away.

There’s a rock show at Smoke & Barrel Friday night, with locals Claw Marks American and Bones of the Earth.

The annual chili cookoff with a kinda gross name that has raised over half-a-million dollars for Alzheimers research will host their final event on Saturday. Of course, we are talking about Chilirhea. Here’s more info.

There are a couple good kid-friendly shows happening in Fayetteville on Saturday. Trike Theatre’s show, A Year with Frog and Toad, is playing at Nadine Baum Studios, with performances set for 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Also in kid-friendly shows, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Live is playing at Walton Arts Center at 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

In music, there’s a rock show at Backshapce with TV Preacher, Misery Stairs, Tüth, No Magic and Black Diamonds.

George’s has a 90s tribute band with Dial Up, and funky Birmingham, Alabama band Little Raine Band will play Smoke & Barrel.
