The 2020 Hazel Valley Gran Prix is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22, and will include an appearance by the current king of gravel racing.

Colin Strickland, who last summer became the first person to finish the Dirty Kanza 200 in less than 10 hours, is set to ride at Hazel Valley this weekend, according to the event organizers at Ozark Cycling Adventures.

The 55-mile course features one of the most challenging gravel bike routes in the state with epic climbs and long descents through the Ozark National Forest.

The ride starts and ends at Hazel Valley Ranch, located about 25 miles southeast of Fayetteville.

There is no charge to participate, but a tip jar and event shirts will be on sale to help offset the costs. A finisher’s award will be given to those who complete the entire loop. Food and beverages will be provided at the finish line. SAG support and an aid station will also be available.
