Fayetteville musician Teddy Sablon passed away earlier this month, and several local musicians will gather together this weekend to pay tribute to their fallen friend.

The tribute and benefit for Sablon is set for Sunday, Feb. 23 at Mojo’s Pints & Pies in Fayetteville.

The event will include music by Warren Dietzel, Crazy Neighbor, and Isayah’s All Stars.

Sablon performed with several local acts over the years, but was best known locally as guitarist and vocalist for his band, Guta. He passed away in his home on Feb. 12. He was just 38 years old.

The benefit on Saturday, titled “Songs My Heart Recruits,” is named for Guta’s album of the same name.

Admission is free, and a $10 suggested donation will be accepted at the door. A portion of sales from the kitchen and bar will also be accepted for the Sablon family.
