Put on your flannel, grow some facial hair, and get ready to show off your axe throwing skills. An indoor axe-throwing range is coming to Fayetteville.

Urban Forest Axe House will soon open a new location somewhere in town, according to its owners.

The company currently operates one other range on Walton Boulevard in Bentonville, and will soon announce the address of their Fayetteville location.

Urban Forest Axe House is the state’s first facility to be certified by the World Axe Throwing League (WATL), according to the comapny’s website. Patrons can visit the facility, pay a fee, and instructors will demonstrate how to properly throw an axe at a wooden target, and guide you through games and challenges. You can share a lane with others for $25 per person, or book an entire lane for a group for around $250 for a 75-minute axe throwing session. League play is also available.

The business doesn’t serve alcohol or food, but you are encouraged to bring your own beer if you’re so inclined.

Axe throwing, of course, has been around since axes were invented, but the sport has become increasingly popular in recent years. According to the International Axe Throwing Federation, the first known indoor axe throwing facility opened in Toronto in 2011. Since then, facilities have opened all over the world. The IATF currently boasts more than 10,000 active competitors in over 125 cities around the world.

Urban Forest Axe House has been hinting about their Fayetteville location on Instagram this week. We’ll add any specific location details to our story once they are announced.
