The 2020 Bentonville Film Festival has been rescheduled for Aug. 5-8 due to public health concerns regarding coronavirus.
The event was previously planned for April 29 to May 2.
“This decision comes after careful consideration and consultation with our partners,” said Geena Davis, the festival’s co-founder and chair. “Our number one concern is the safety of our content creators and our community of attendees. We are grateful for the support and recommendations from our partners and community and look forward to welcoming everyone to the 6th edition of BFF this August.”
Organizers recently announced the “See It, Be It Filmmaker Fellowship,” an annual fellowship designed to offer expansive developmental support for filmmakers from historically underrepresented communities. Eight people have been selected for the inaugural program, which will include professional support from peers, entertainment industry leaders and major corporate changemakers, in addition to financial backing.
Ticket packages for the 2020 festival can be purchased at bentonvillefilm.org.
