XNA limits terminal access to travelers only
Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) has updated its precautions amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Officials on Friday said only people who are traveling will be allowed inside the terminal building until further notice. Entry has also been limited to just the main entrance, which is the middle set of automatic doors located directly in front of the escalators.
“The safety of our passengers and employees is our top priority and we will continue to take necessary precautions to protect all who visit XNA,” stated a news release. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Previous precautions announced at XNA include:
- Spraying the entire airport building with hospital grade disinfectant
- Sanitizing all public touch points several times throughout the day, including escalator handrails, bathroom door latches, door handles, elevator buttons, etc.
- Additional hand sanitizing stations placed throughout the building
- Briefing emergency personnel on guidelines for infectious diseases
