A portion of Old Missouri Road will close for three days this week while crews complete a milling and asphalt overlay project.
The work requires closing Old Missouri between Rolling Hills Drive and Old Wire Road from Tuesday, May 5 through Thursday, May 7. The closures are scheduled to begin at 6 a.m. and the roads should reopen to traffic at 4 p.m. each day.
Detours routes will be marked, according to a news release.
From the city:
Oil will be sprayed on the roadway prior to the placement of asphalt overlays. If necessary, you may drive on the oil before the asphalt is placed. Please drive slowly and with care. Driving fast will throw oil on your vehicle and endanger the crew. If oil is thrown on your vehicle, it can be removed with WD-40 spray and paper towels.
