Fayetteville Public Library now accepting returns, late fees still waived

The Fayetteville Public Library is now accepting returns, but patrons are still not required to return any items during the COVID-19 pandemic.

No due dates or fees are being assessed to items checked out prior to the temporary closing of the library last month, officials said.

However, for anyone who’d like to return items, patrons can drop them off in the boxes located at the library’s regular return areas. Due to quarantining processes, patrons should allow up to seven days for the returns to be reflected on their account.

The library is offering curbside pickup for items reserved through the library’s online catalog.

Once items are ready, a member of the staff will call to schedule a pickup time. Requests are limited to two items.
