Hasan Minhaj postpones Walton Arts Center performance, SoNA and Arun Luthra cancel shows

Hasan Minhaj has postponed his performance scheduled for May 30 at Walton Arts Center, officials announced Monday.

Minhaj is the host and creator of the weekly Netflix comedy show Patriot Act, which earned a 2019 Peabody Award and a Emmy Award for Outstanding Motion Design. He joined The Daily Show with Jon Stewart in 2014 as a correspondent and continued on in that role after Trevor Noah took over through August 2018.

The Symphony of Northwest Arkansas (SoNA) has canceled its two remaining Masterworks performances, and Arun Luthra’s Konnakol Jazz Project has also been canceled.

Patrons with tickets to see Minhaj will be notified as soon as a new date has been confirmed. Those with tickets to the March 21 and May 2 SoNA performances and the Arun Luthra performance on April 24 will be emailed about their ticketing options.

With these announcements, all shows for the remainder of the season at Walton Arts Center have now been rescheduled, postponed or canceled.

Patrons can view a current list of shows according to their status at waltonartscenter.org/ticketing-updates/. Performances are scheduled to resume at the start of the new season in September.
