After only four days of week, we’ve reached weekend again. Don’t worry. We are still keeping track.
Our calendar is still suspended indefinitely, but we’ve found a few events – both in-person and virtual – that you could check out this weekend.
Deepwood Media will be streaming another show from Fossil Cove Brewing this weekend. Locals Friends of the Phamily will perform a set of Grateful Dead tunes at 7:45 p.m., and the show will be steamed live via Deepwood’s Facebook page and Youtube channel.
JJ’s Grill in Rogers will livestream local shows this weekend from their Facebook page, with Egotrip performing on Friday night, and 412 West on Saturday. Both shows begin at 6 p.m.
Local outdoor venue Prairie Street Live has reopened, and plans to host a few socially distanced events this weekend. On Friday, they’ll show the Richard Pryor film Toy on their large screen, and you and a couple friends can purchase a 10′ x 10′ square on the lawn to watch the film. They’ll show a classic Jimi Hendrix concert on Saturday, and they are hosting a Crawfish Boil on Sunday, all with recommended safety measures in place. Here’s more.
Local private suite karaoke establishment Big Box Karaoke is open by reservation only. You and folks you are quarantining with can reserve a suite, and sing your hearts out. BBK is also taking several new measures for safety. More info is here.
Maxine’s Tap Room is making cocktails live via their social media channels at 7 p.m. on Friday night. They’re making Gold Rushes and Manhattans tonight, and you can go ahead and purchase a kit today to make Negronis and Belles of the Ball next weekend. Here’s where to get them.
Local recording studio ProSound Consulting will stream a live performance by Boston Mountain Playboys at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night via their Facebook page.
That’s all we have found so far. As always, feel free to let us know what you are doing this weekend in the comments below.
