A handful of Fayetteville artists will show work in a new virtual exhibition as part of the 62nd Annual Delta Exhibition at Arkansas Arts Center beginning this weekend.

This year’s event will include 63 works from artists around the state, including pieces by James P. Bell, Aaron Bleidt, Leah Grant, and Ray Allen Parker of Fayetteville.

The selections were chosen from more than 772 entries by 348 artists.

Also this year, the exhibition has gone virtual, and will be hosted exclusively online as a result of concerns around COVID-19.

From the Arkansas Arts Center website:

Elevating artistic voices from the American South and beyond, the Annual Delta Exhibition addresses identity, place, history, heritage and power. As one of the longest-running and most prestigious juried art exhibitions in the region, the Delta Exhibition represents the Arts Center’s commitment to artists living and working in our community today – and to continuing to grow artistic talent in the region.

Other NWA artists selected for this year’s show include David Foss of Bella Vista, Cynthia Kresse of Eureka Springs, John Lasater of Siloam Springs, and Steven Wise of Rogers
