The folks behind the annual NWA Pride event in Fayetteville are going virtual this year in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Organizers are planning a series of programs to be streamed live on Facebook and YouTube, including a video version of the pride parade, virtual happy hours, a drag show, and an online version of the popular Glitterville party via Zoom this year on Friday, June 26.

The event, organized by the NWA Center for Equality, is currently seeking video submissions of either messages of support or performances for the virtual parade this year. Videos can be uploaded via the event website before 11 p.m. on Friday, June 19.

Festivities on the 26th will kick off at 9 a.m. with a virtual yoga event, followed by a NWA Pride Youth Variety Hour at 11 a.m., the virtual Pride Parade at 4 p.m., the Maxine’s virtual Pride Happy Hour at 6 p.m., the C4 Lounge Drag Show at 8 p.m., before finishing up with the Glitterville interactive dance party at 9 p.m.
