Who’s ready for another weekend?

The folks behind the annual NWA Pride event in Fayetteville are going virtual this year in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Organizers are planning a series of programs to be streamed live on Facebook and YouTube, including a video version of the pride parade, virtual happy hours, a drag show, and an online version of the popular Glitterville party via Zoom this year on Friday, June 26. Here’s more info.

Music Moves will continue their celebration of African American Music this weekend with live streamed performances by rapper 607 on Friday, a tribute to Jazz Legends on Saturday, and Pastor Tim Rogers and the Fellas on Sunday. Here’s more.

Local outdoor venue Prairie Street Live will host a Star Wars movie night on their lawn on Friday night. They also a real-life live music show on Saturday night with locals Monk In King at the venue, and they are hosting a restaurant and bar appreciation event on Sunday. More.

Wanna check out a reading of a brand new play? TheatreSquared’s New Play Festival returns this weekend with a free reading of the new play “Love Be Like…” by playwright Clinnesha D. Sibley. It’s free, but you can also donate to help support the new show. We wrote about it earlier this week.

The 112 Drive-In will be The Avengers (2012) and The Greatest Showman this weekend if you feel like checking out a movie. Showtimes and more are here.

You can also still get together with your quarantine buds and sing a couple tunes at the local private-suite karaoke establishment, Big Box Karaoke.

Maxine’s is hosting another of their cocktail kit parties on Friday night, and this time, they’ve added live music with locals Dazz & Brie. The cocktail kits are sold out this time around, but you could crack a Dr. Thunder and watch the live-stream anyway on Instagram. We wrote about their upcoming kits/shows earlier this week as well.

As always, feel free to let us know what you’re doing and point out things we missed in the comments below. Have a good weekend, y’all.

Check on your friends.
