Bentonville Bike Fest 2020 has been canceled, it was announced this week.

Organizers and vendors “did not see a way to deliver the festival the community deserves” this year, according to a news release.

“The best interests of the festival attendees, riders, vendors, and staff will always be our top priority,” said Kenny Belaey, the festival’s founder. “We’re putting 2020 behind us and planning for Bike Fest ’21. Please be safe and stay tuned for updates later this year. Keep the pedal to the medal!”

The event was originally scheduled for May 1-3 in conjunction with the Bentonville Film Festival, and was then rescheduled to August 7-9. It was set to include rides, races, an expo, movie screenings, workshops and a chance to meet professional riders.
