Bentonville Film Festival announces hybrid event for Aug. 10-16

This year’s Bentonville Film Festival will be structured as a hybrid event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers announced Thursday.

The sixth annual festival is scheduled for Aug. 10-16, and will include virtual presentations and world premieres of films, panels and special events, alongside select drive-in screenings and additional on-the-ground events throughout the region.

The event was previously planned for April 29 to May 2, but was postponed because of the coronavirus.

Organizers said the first three nights will include screenings at a local drive-in movie theater, followed by four days of films available to watch online for virtual pass holders.
