Weekends are still happening, so that’s something.

George’s Majestic Lounge has a happy hour show Friday night featuring the Jim Mills Band beginning at 6 p.m. It’s an in person show, and masks will be mandatory, social distancing will be enforced, and a new filtration system and UV air purifier has been installed for safety. Also this weekend, George’s will host parking lot parties with performances by Kody West on Saturday, and Ben Miller Band on Sunday! Here’s ticket info.

Local outdoor venue Prairie Street Live will show Dirty Dancing on Friday night on their big screen, and they’ve got a supergroup of local musicians on Saturday calling themselves ‘Deepwoods Sessions.’ The band is made up of members of Deep Sequence, Arkansauce, Groovement, Monk is King, and Groove Contingency. Here’s more info about that.

Also in socially distanced in-person outdoor events, Mount Sequoyah will kick off their new Music on the Mountain Series with a performance by Will Brand on Friday night. Ticket info.

JJ’s Grill on Wedington has live music on Friday with Mike and Grady, and Saturday with Maud Crawford. Their Dickson Street Location will feature Steve Dimmit on Friday night and Jenna and Friends on Saturday.

Of course, you could sing in Big Box Karaoke’s private suites, and grab a drink to-go from one of the 40-something local bars and restaurants participating in the city’s ORA program.

As always, please let us know what we’ve missed in the comments below.

Have a great weekend, buddies. Y’all deserve it.
