Fayetteville Public Schools announces four students test positive for COVID-19, none have been on campus

Fayetteville Public Schools on Thursday announced that four current students have tested positive for COVID-19, though none of them have been on campus since school started on Aug. 24.

In addition, officials announced that 16 students are in quarantine for “either having been exposed to a positive case or awaiting test results.” Five of those students have been on campus since the start of the school year.

Six FPS staff members are in quarantine as well due to exposure to a positive case, or awaiting test results. Officials said that none of the six staff members have been on campus since the start of the school year.
