With the November election fast approaching, local company TheatreSquared has a timely and relevant and relevant new show to debut this week.

T2 will perform a new show by playwright Sarah Gancher called Russian Troll Farm at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28 over Zoom.

From the description:

At the infamous (real-life!) Internet Research Agency, professional internet trolls work for days at a time to influence American popular opinion, creating the illusion of consensus—or conflict.

The new show will look a bit different from some of the other staged readings presented during this year’s New Play Festival. T2 officials told us the show will experiment with the form of digital theatre to employ film technickes in a live, digital theatre space. Think Zoom, with some digital magic.

The show is available on a pay-what-you-can basis beginning Aug. 28, and remaining available through Sept. 1. You can also purchase a pass to all New Play Festival performances for $45 to help support professional theatre in Fayetteville.
