A Fayetteville institution officially opened this week for the first time since March.

The Dickson Street Book Shop, the sprawling and beloved used bookshop located at 325 W. Dickson St., officially re-opened on Tuesday, Sept. 1.

The shop had been operating on a limited capacity via shipping and curbside pickup since earlier this summer.

The store has increased safety measures for the reopening, including the installation of a new UV light system, a no-contact credit card machine, sanitation of incoming books, distancing requirements, temperature checks, and others.

The shop will continue to offer curbside pickup for those who still feel uncomfortable coming inside.

For now, the store will be open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. seven days a week.
