You guys look like you could use a weekend. No offense.

NWA Startup Junkie’s Startup Week will conclude this evening, and they’ll close the week-long event with a concert by local band Goose in the parking lot at George’s on Friday night. It’s a $20 ticket, available here. Also at George’s this weekend, the legendary Cate Brothers will be performing at George’s, but hopefully you already have tickets to that one. It’s sold out.

How about a movie night? The Walmart AMP will be showing Pirates of the Caribbean on Saturday night on their big screen. Here’s ticket info. The venue will also host a couple happy hour live music events this weekend, with locals The Juice on Friday and The Irie Lions on Saturday. Here’s more about that.

Speaking of movies, the 112 Drive-In is showing a couple 80s films, 16 Candles and The Breakfast Club this weekend. Details are here.

Also in movies, Prairie Street Live is showing Where the Heart Is on Friday night for their movies on the grass series. On Saturday, they’ve got live music with Bootleg Royale and Mt. Comfort. More info is here.

The local chapter of AIGA has launched a new free portrait series to help support local businesses, and they’ll be at Little Bread Co. from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m on Saturday, and at Maxine’s on Saturday night from 7-11 p.m. Just stop by, make a purchase, and get a free professional photo session. Details.

The bars on Block Avenue will be hosting a Fernet-Branca coin release event and scavenger hunt on Sunday. Stop by Maxine’s, Big Box Karaoke, Vault, and Pinpoint for details on how to participate in the hunt for a change to get the newest Arkansas Fernet-Branca coin. There will also be raffles for items like Branca bikes, a baggo set, and other items. Here’s more info about the event.

Local teaching farm Apple Seeds, Inc. will host their annual fundraiser, An Evening from the Farm on Saturday. The event features craft cocktails and a farm-to-table dinner. It’s completely sold out, though, so, hope you already got your tickets.
