The Washington County Clerk’s Office will offer curbside absentee ballot drop-off events every Saturday in October.

The drop-off events will take place from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31 at the Washington County Courthouse, located at 280 N. College Ave. in Fayetteville.

According to the county website, election officials will be on hand to accept the absentee ballots.

To participate, enter the courthouse lot from College Avenue next to First Christian Church. A county staffer will meet you at your car. You must have an ID ready, and be prepared to show it to return your ballot in person.

The staffer will check your ID, and make sure it matches the name on the absentee ballot envelope.

Those who turn in absentee ballots can check the status of their ballots a few days later at voterview.org.
